Thanksgiving In Your Mouth: More from Simple Green Smoothies
Carrie H
This recipe title is probably one of the best I've encountered in a while. Cheeky and direct. It's pretty clear what's going on here.
Thanksgiving In Your Mouth is the second of two fall/Thanksgiving-themed smoothies I'm running from the new, stellar cookbook Simple Green Smoothies by Jen Hansard and Jadah Sellner—the smoothie-loving gals behind the blog of the same name. A few weeks ago I ran their recipe for Pumpkin Pecan Pie smoothie. You'll see the two paired together in the photo here. When I spotted this other one, I knew I had to share it with you. It's just too good. Think of it it as a way to prime the tastebuds for tomorrow's big show. Or a less caloric and perhaps healthier way to taste the flavors of Thanksgiving, without overdoing it. (I know, I know, that's the whole point, but some of us around here actually enjoy moderation.)

When you're looking for a festive drink, turn to this recipe! Sweet potatoes are high in complex carbs, their natural sugars release slowly into the bloodstream. Make sure to blend the sweet potato skin because it's loaded with fiber, which will give you a healthy, clean sweep.

- 2 cups chopped mango
